Terms of service
These terms cover orders placed on this website. The shop is run by Brian's Wines, 3 Cornmarket Street, Cork, T12 X9Y9, Ireland. VAT number IE8054914W. Email brian@brianswines.ie.
1. Age
You must be 18 or over to buy wine from us. By placing an order you confirm that you are. We may cancel and fully refund an order if we have reason to believe the buyer or the person receiving it is under 18.
2. Your order
Your order confirmation email means we've received your order. If a wine turns out to be unavailable, we'll tell you and refund that part of the order in full.
We work with small producers, and labels or vintages sometimes change. If the vintage or bottle you ordered has changed, we'll check with you before sending anything.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in euro and include VAT at the Irish rate. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay. Payment is taken when you place your order.
We check our prices carefully. If a price is obviously wrong, we'll contact you before dispatch and you can choose to go ahead at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
4. Delivery and collection
Delivery charges, timings and collection hours are set out in our shipping policy.
5. Cancelling, returns and faulty wine
You can cancel within 14 days of receiving your order and return unopened bottles. Faulty wine is always replaced or refunded. Our refund policy has the details, along with our advice on storing and serving.
6. Our responsibility
If we fail to meet these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that failure, up to the value of your order. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
7. Your information
We use your details to process and deliver your order, as set out in our privacy policy.
8. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Irish law. If something goes wrong, please contact us first and we'll do our best to put it right. If we can't, you can bring a claim in the Irish courts, or in the courts where you live if you're a consumer in another country.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in place when you placed your order are the ones that apply to it.
